Now Foods Potassium Gluconate Pure Powder
Q: What is the difference between potassium citrate and potassium gluconate? Thanks!A: Potassium Citrate is more acidic and twice as concentrated as Potassium Gluconate. When dosing, 1 teaspoon Gluconate, 1/2 teaspoon Citrate and 1/3 teaspoon = about a gram of elemental Potassium. Maximum RDA is 4.7Gm and tablets are restricted to 99mG (2% RDA) due to some 1906 FDA decision that makes little sense. That said, don't overdo things. I take 3/4 tsp of the gluconate twice a day with Copper in morning and Magnesium at night.
